Moral education for adolescents

Caring and loving adolescents is a social responsibility. Harbin set up Heilongjiang’s first psychological health instruction center for adolescents and opened a toll-free consulting hotline, 96311, to provide counseling services for parents and students.
The city has launched various activities to give education to its 1.37-million adolescents, such as studying Party history, reading the classics and introducing good children’s dramas to schools.
In 2012, Harbin ranked eighth in an adolescent education evaluation that covered 127 cities nationwide. It also won an advanced city award for its adolescent moral building work.
Harbin specifies punishments for paycheck delays, in response to reports that migrant workers are often the victims of delayed payment of wages.
At the second plenary session of the fourth session of the 14th Harbin People’s Congress, delegates offered advice and suggestion for the city’s development and people’s livelihood.
The city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province announced on a video-conference on educational reforms, in Harbin on Feb 2, that it plans to combine the educational resources in its various districts to give students more choices.
A total of 1,356 officials in Harbin received punishment for violating rules in 2014, according to a press briefing held by Harbin Municipal Party Commission of Discipline Inspection and the city’s Bureau of Supervision on Jan 29.
