Harbin to build agricultural demonstration zone
Harbin will make great efforts to build vegetable bases in many areas of the city, according to vthe city’s agricultural department.
Key areas where the vegetable bases will be built include Shuangcheng, Nangang, Daoli and Songbei districts, and Binxian county.
Construction of the vegetable bases is a projects run by the agricultural demonstration zone, which is also a tourist destination an hour’s drive from Harbin’s downtown area.
According to the plan, about 333.3 hectares of vegetable bases will be built in Shuangcheng district, 200 hectares in Binxian county and 33.3 hectares in Songbei district.
Internet of things technologies will be used in the cultivation of the vegetables, which will be sold both online and offline.
