Heilongjiang provincial government approved the Binxi Economic and Technological Development Zone as a provincial development zone on Sept 11, 2002, and the State Council approved it as a national economic and technological development zone on June 26, 2010.
It is located in the south-centre of Heilongjiang province, in the territory of Bin county, a satellite town of Harbin, and also near Acheng district -.
The national traffic arteries, such as the Tongjiang to Sanya highway and the Harbin to Tongjiang highway, - go through the territory of the development zone.
Binxi Economic Development Zone has a planning area of 18.56 square kilometers.It has three specialized industrial parks - LED optoelectronic park, digital welding park, corn industrial park - and four leading industries: high-tech, advanced manufacturing, agricultural and sideline products processing, and modern service.
