Harbin airport to cooperate with Alaska

Heilongjiang Airport Group and Alaska International Airport Group signed a memorandum of cooperation in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on April 9. The two sides will share managerial experience and hold technical exchanges –– complementing each other’s regional advantages.
Another achievement of Alaska International Airport Group’s Heilongjiang trip –– a tourism and cargo transportation alliance –– will also soon be established. It is expected that this will boost tourism, as well as economic ties and international trade between Heilongjiang and Alaska.
In recent years, Harbin Taiping International Airport has ranked first among all airports in Northeast China for passenger flow and cargo throughput.
In addition, the newly-establish Terminal 2 of the Harbin airport is scheduled to open, and construction work on the second runway is set to begin.
Harbin airport has become an aviation hub in the Northeast China region, linking inland cities and cities in the south of China to Russia, Japan and South Korea.
