An art exhibition was unveiled in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province on Sept 8.

The exhibition is being held at Heilongjiang Art Gallery and is aimed at promoting art and cultural links between Heilongjiang province, Hokkaido in Japan and North Chungcheong in South Korea.

A total of 60 exhibits are on display to introduce the three places’ culture, history, scenery and artwork.

Heilongjiang has long-standing ties to Hokkaido and North Chungcheong. The first cultural event between Heilongjiang and Hokkaido dates back to around 30 years ago; and the first art event to promote ties between the two regions was Heilongjiang Province International Communication Art Exhibition held in 2013.

To further strengthen cultural and art links between Heilongjiang and North Chungcheong, the two sides officially signed a letter of intent in August 2009.
