Second phase of Harbin Polarland breaks ground

The groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of Harbin Polarland is performed in the city of Harbin, in Heilongjiang province, on April 29. Harbin Polarland is China's first performing polar animal park, famous for its themed performances involving beluga whales, sea lions, walruses, polar bears and penguins. The second phase of the park includes the construction of a polar bear house, a penguin house, a whale pavilion and a commercial street. The second phase is expected to go into operation in 2020. Half of the scheduled spring power grid maintenance in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province had been completed by April 24.
