Daoli district, Harbin, Heilongjiang province is in the process of removing 336 illegal structures to free up space for fire exits and infrastructure construction.

The illegal structures, which include coal sheds and door buckets, are located on the auxiliary streets of Harbin Central Avenue and cover a total area of over 9,700 square meters.

The structures are a serious fire hazard for the old residential courtyards and obstruct the construction of heating, gas, and water supply facilities.

As of May 14, around 2,400 sq m of illegal structures have been dismantled, and the rest will be eliminated by the end of this month.
