The 2023 Harbin International Kite-flying Festival is scheduled to be held in the south square of the Harbin Grand Theater in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on May 1-3.
 
The festival is sponsored by the International Kite Federation, adding vitality to the approaching May Day holiday this year.
 
The theme of this year's Kite Festival is "New Style, New Life". During the three-day period, many professional kite-fliers from home and abroad will come to Harbin to participate. They will perform professional kite flying shows and friendship competitions for both residents and tourists.
 
The festival will highlight large kites measuring at 600 square meters, multiplayer kites, and created kites that have won awards.
 
A total of 10,000 kites will be distributed on site to people for free, so that they can fully enjoy the festival.
 
The event site will also bring a series of exciting experience activities such as domestic and foreign program shows, an intangible cultural heritage kite display, product displays from famous enterprises, and street food stalls.
