Heilongjiang to hold rice festival

The first China International Rice Festival is scheduled to take place at Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center from Oct 9 to 11, in an effort to boost the development of the rice industry.
Exhibition areas covering 12,000 square meters will be set up during the festival. Exhibits demonstrating rice cultivation techniques, different rice varieties, packing materials, and cooking techniques will be on display across the 260 booths. The whole industrial chain of rice production will be on show for visitors.
During the festival, other activities including a rice tasting conference, several international rice brand forums, and meetings on the Heilongjiang provincial rice industry will be held.
Rice varieties with a high yield, good taste and excellent quality will win awards, along with rice brands and enterprises with excellent customer feedback.

The autumn schedule for power grid maintenance in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province concluded on Oct 30.

About 10 government departments in Daoli district, Harbin, Heilongjiang province, carried out joint enforcement June 1 to remove more than 20 illegal constructions with a total area of over 2000 square meters to advance an expropriation project.
