The finals of the 2018 China Skateboarding Leagues took place in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province from Sept 15 to 16. The most outstanding competitors may get the opportunity to represent China at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

Skateboarding, together with surfing, climbing, karate and baseball was added to the Olympic events taking place at Tokyo 2020, under plans made in August 2016 to give the quadrennial event a fresh look.

China Skateboarding Leagues, under the guidance of the General Administration of Sport of China and sponsored by China Skateboarding Association, is one of the highest level skateboarding competitions in China.

This year’s league was held to help select players to attend professional training in preparation for the Olympics.

More than 10 competitors from Nanjing, Shanghai and Shenzhen entered the finals, which involve street and park competitions.
