Harbin airport sees passenger flow peak

Harbin Taiping International Airport experienced a spike in passenger numbers due to the seven-day National Day holiday which concluded on Oct 7.
Statistics released by Heilongjiang Airport Group reveal that Harbin airport handled 2,863 flights, and 410,000 passengers over a week-long period, representing a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent and 7.7 percent respectively.
Tourism has been one of the main factors driving the development of Harbin’s airport.
Most of the tourists came from Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinan and Tianjing.
Meanwhile, Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu were the most popular tourism destinations for Harbin residents.
The autumn schedule for power grid maintenance in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province concluded on Oct 30.
The High People’s Court of Heilongjiang province officially launched Thunderbolt Action.
About 10 government departments in Daoli district, Harbin, Heilongjiang province, carried out joint enforcement June 1 to remove more than 20 illegal constructions with a total area of over 2000 square meters to advance an expropriation project.
