The Chinese Youth Flight Simulator Championship was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, from Nov 24 to 25.

Flight simulators are one of the sports developed by the Chinese General Administration of Sport; and are regulated and guided by the Aviation Radio Model Motion Management Center affiliated to General Administration of Sport of China, and Aero Sports Federation of China.

The Chinese Youth Flight Simulator Championship, initially run in 2007, is held once a year, and is the highest level flight simulator competition in China.

Over the past 10 years, many of the prize winners at each year’s championship have entered the professional field of aviation, becoming pilots in Chinese civil and military aviation.

This year’s championship attracted the participation of 411 players from 46 teams in 12 provinces.

Experienced pilots from Civil Aviation Flight University of China and Aviation University of Air Force also attended the championship and discussed topics on pilot training and selection with championship sponsors.

Additionally, the National Flight Simulator Interactive Experience Carnival was held during the championship, with more than 700 primary and middle school students participating in the activity.

The event was sponsored by the Air Traffic Control Center affiliated to General Administration of Sports of China, Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, Education Department of Heilongjiang province and the Heilongjiang Department of Science and Technology.
