Guangxi promotes tourism in 'Ice City'

A tourism promotion meeting for Guangxi was held in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on Nov 29.
Travel routes and products featuring Guangxi’s unique natural scenery, cultural sites, local customs, as well as preferential policies for tourists from the Northeast China region, were introduced at the meeting.
Guangxi in South China is one of the five Chinese autonomous regions with lots of ethnic minorities and the only coastal autonomous region in China. A strong heritage of folk customs, beautiful coastal scenery, pleasant climate and peculiar karst landforms are the unique charms of Guangxi.
Heilongjiang in Northeast China has abundant ice and snow and has increasingly more winter tourism and sports available.
Due to the huge difference in climate and landscape between the south and the north, Guangxi and Heilongjiang have obvious advantages in complementary tourist travel.
Guangxi is a good tourist destination for northerners to escape the cold in winter; and tourists from southern China can also admire breathtaking ice and snow landscapes and seek winter fun in Heilongjiang.

The autumn schedule for power grid maintenance in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province concluded on Oct 30.
The High People’s Court of Heilongjiang province officially launched Thunderbolt Action.
About 10 government departments in Daoli district, Harbin, Heilongjiang province, carried out joint enforcement June 1 to remove more than 20 illegal constructions with a total area of over 2000 square meters to advance an expropriation project.
Harbin has seen a dramatic reduction in traffic congestion, according to statistics released by Amap, a Chinese navigation service provider.
