Harbin to get national cyberspace security base

The government of Harbin signed a strategic agreement with Zhonghang Hongdian (Beijing) Information Technology Co on May 13, to establish an information technology base in Harbin New Zone to safeguard national cyberspace security.
The two sides will establish a joint venture company to be responsible for handling specific projects related to the project.
Zhonghang Hongdian (Beijing) Information Technology Co is a provider of homegrown "Shenwei" independent controllable software and hardware integration products and solutions, as well as industrial interconnection services.
According to the agreement, Harbin Shenwei Supercomputing Center and the Shenwei Information Technology Industrial Park will be built, advancing the development of an independent and controllable information technology industrial chain system.
A signing ceremony for the project was attended by Sun Zhe, mayor of Harbin.
Half of the scheduled spring power grid maintenance in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province had been completed by April 24.
The High People’s Court of Heilongjiang province officially launched Thunderbolt Action.
About 10 government departments in Daoli district, Harbin, Heilongjiang province, carried out joint enforcement June 1 to remove more than 20 illegal constructions with a total area of over 2000 square meters to advance an expropriation project.
