Visitors flock to see chrysanthemums in Harbin

The annual chrysanthemum exhibition is being held at the Chinese Pavilion Garden in Xiangfang district from Sept 9 to Oct 3, giving residents of Harbin an opportunity to enjoy different varieties of the flower.
The event has five exhibition areas containing around 250,000 plants from 300 different varieties, including 35,000 basins of chrysanthemums.
Similar flower exhibitions have been held on 14 previous occasions, with the district hoping to promote itself as a tourist attraction.
