The Harbin government took three major steps in the first half-year to beautify the city’s environment in an effort to make Harbin a national civilized city.
The first covers management of the street. In the past, the disorder of street food stalls was an annoying problem. Since 2013, the Harbin government has enforced an admission system for street food stalls and established a detailed schedule for street cleaning. The second policy established a comprehensive city management system that allowed people to make timely reports on environmental problems and hold the related departments responsible. The third policy educated the people and aroused awareness of environmental protection.
