A massive beer-drinking activity in the city of Harbin, Heilongjiang province, June 28 to Sept 2, 2012,pulled in nearly 200,000 people from all over, with 53,000 of them getting a chance to drink as much as they wanted for free.

And drink they did - 14.4 kl in fact - a great way to feel comfortably cool in summer. And to enhance the playtime experience, some locals and tourists got 200 containers of beer for prizes.

This “thousands of people drinking together” activity was the city’s first attempt at an International Beer Festival and it got the support of a lot of people. The organizers explained that they tried their best to make the festival a truly unique activity
