The Ice Bucket Challenge, an Internet activity that began in the US in July, to raise money for people suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), has spread as far as China, where a bucket of iced water was dumped on the head of a walrus named Eno, at Polarland, in the city of Harbin, on Aug 24.
The activity calls for participants to pour a bucket of iced water on their heads while recording the process online. Successful participants can nominate three people to continue the game. If they fail to do so, they have to donate $100 to the ALS association. Staff members at Polarland acted on behalf of Eno, who seemed to enjoy the icy shower, and nominated other polar animals at the city of Dalian’s Sun Asia Ocean World to take the challenge.
