The aesthetic light project of the new music hall of Daoli district in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province, was completed on Nov 23. Residents can now enjoy breathtaking nighttime scenery as they stroll by the music square, lit up by the radiating glow of Heilongjiang's capital.
To build a main stadium for the Harbin Summer Music Festival, the city started construction of a new music hall with first-class sound effect in 2010. With an area of 13,000 square meters, the hall has 1,600 sets for audiences and resting rooms for artists.
The construction of the music hall has been geared up to welcome the 2015 New Year’s Concert of Harbin. Harbin Symphony Orchestra, China's oldest symphony orchestra, will present a symphonic music feast to celebrate the New Year with musical pieces by first-class State composers.
The old music hall of Harbin, established in 1990, has now been transferred to private investors for commercial business.
