The Nangang district of the city of Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang province has put up colorful ads along pedestrian streets, in public squares, parking lots, and schools, since Sept 12, to display its key “socialist values” in a vivid pictorial way to remind local people of the importance of morality and principles in daily life.
These socialist values consist of principles the authorities consider important, such as democracy, civility, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, the law, patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendship.
More of these ads will appear along sidewalks, on buildings, and open-air restaurants.
