Ice and Snow Happy Valley opens to public

The 10,000-meter-long Ice and Snow Happy Valley on the Songhua River in Harbin, capital of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, opened to the public on Dec 28, attracting visitors to have fun in winter.

Located on the section of the frozen river around the Flood Memorial, the park covers 760,000 square meters and offers some 60 activities. There was also a skiing ground as well as a park that features traditional culture of the Oroqen ethnic group.

The park will open for 50 days and has no entry fee. There will be eight regions and more than 50 ice and snow-related activities, with some of them free of charge.

 

Harbin ramps up childcare services

A new comprehensive service center for childcare in Harbin is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
