From January to September this year, 238 manufacturers above a designated size in the Harbin Economic Development Zone and in Harbin city's Pingfang district reported total industrial output worth 60.47 billion yuan ($9.07 billion), achieving growth of 19.2 percent year-on-year.
 
Manufacturers above a designated size is a statistical term referring to those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($3.1 million) or more and the robust result was revealed by Yu Dingzhi, director of the Bureau of Industry and Information Technology of Pingfang district – located in Harbin, capital of China's Northeast Heilongjiang province.
 
Yu said that the overall performance of the manufacturers pointed to a stable and positive trend going forwards.
 
In the first nine months of the current year, the output value of the automotive and aviation industry supply chains in the region increased by 33.1 percent and 40 percent year-on-year, respectively.
 
Both the construction and real estate and health industry chains also reportedly achieved double-digit growth.
