In June of this year, Harbin was selected as one of the first pilot cities for new technological transformation in manufacturing, securing 300 million yuan ($42.86 million) in central financial subsidies. According to the pilot program's implementation plan, Harbin has identified three key industries – power equipment, aerospace, and pharmaceuticals and food – to undergo technological upgrades.
