The Heilongjiang-Hong Kong Investment Cooperation Promotion Conference was successfully held in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Guizhou province, on July 3.
The event, titled "Heilongjiang-Hong Kong Cooperation – Leveraging Hong Kong to Explore New Overseas Business Opportunities", aimed to seize new opportunities in the new era and create a prosperous future for both parties.
During the conference, representatives from the Beijing office of Invest Hong Kong provided detailed insights into Hong Kong's business environment and introduced the diverse range of services offered by Invest Hong Kong to mainland enterprises.
Hong Kong serves as a crucial channel for Heilongjiang enterprises looking to venture abroad. As of 2023, a total of 58 enterprises from Heilongjiang have invested in Hong Kong, with a cumulative investment amounting to $960 million. Additionally, eight enterprises from Heilongjiang have been listed in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong is also a primary source of foreign investment for Harbin. Currently, Harbin is home to 220 Hong Kong-invested enterprises, with a contracted foreign capital amounting to $14.8 billion. The investment spans 18 industries, including manufacturing, wholesale and retail, leasing and business services, and scientific research and technical services.
