The Harbin New Area High-Quality Construction Promotion Conference was held in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on March 3, commending outstanding enterprises and announcing key project plans for the year.
 
At the conference, 10 companies were awarded the "Outstanding Contribution to Comprehensive Economic Development" prize, five companies received the "Outstanding Contribution to Industrial Fixed Asset Investment" prize, and another five companies were honored with the "Outstanding Contribution to Industrial Added Value" prize.
 
Elsewhere, five companies were recognized with the "Outstanding Contribution to Foreign Investment and Trade" prize.
 
Since it received approval in December 2015, the main economic indicators of Harbin New Area have played a pivotal role in the entire province.
 
Last year, the actual investment attraction of the area reached 36.1 billion yuan, with domestic investment accounting for 31.3 percent of Harbin’s total one-tenth of the province's total.
 
Since 2018, the area has promoted 1077 various reform and innovation projects, introduced 126 items of experience from Shenzhen city, and independently developed 190 institutional innovation achievements.
 
This year, it plans to implement 126 key projects at the provincial and municipal levels, with a total investment of 87 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 14 billion yuan.
