China Mobile Intelligent Computing Center Harbin node, which features an artificial intelligence (AI) computing cluster with over 10,000 cards, is set to commence operations in Harbin, the capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Aug 30.

This development marks Harbin's emergence as one of China's leading cities in AI research and development.

In alignment with China Mobile's "AI+" initiative, China Mobile Heilongjiang Company has established the country's largest AI computing cluster, based on a domestic ecosystem, at the Harbin Intelligent Computing Center. The facility boasts a deployment of 18,000 AI acceleration cards.

Upon completion, the cluster will stand out with several remarkable features: the country's greatest single-cluster computing power, the largest scale of domestic equipment networking, and the most extensive integrated hierarchical storage system.

The cluster is designed to pinpoint and diagnose cluster faults within minutes. It provides a computational power of 6.6 exaFLOPS (EFLOPS), offering a robust and stable foundation for training trillion-parameter models.

The computational services provided by this cluster are expected to play a pivotal role in local economic development, demonstrating immense potential and impact.
