Traditional Chinese medicine proves popular among foreigners

Matvei is a 6-year-old boy who suffers from quadriplegia (paralysis of the arms and legs) which doctors in Ukraine said they could not treat. His mother took him to the second hospital of Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine to receive TCM treatment in 2015. Now, after receiving two rounds of treatment, Matvei’s symptoms have significantly improved. This hospital has used many TCM treatments, including acupuncture, massage therapy and medicated baths. It is thought these can help treat cerebral palsy, autism and stunted growth.
