China, Russia discuss cooperation in advanced manufacturing

The China-Russia Conference on Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation in Advanced Manufacturing started on Sept 8 in the cities of Harbin and Shenzhen, combining offline activities and online video conferences.
 
The conference is the first event of Russia Guest of Honor Week at the 18th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals, which launched on Sept 7.
 
Experts and scholars from China and Russia, including those from Russia Siberian State Technical University and Harbin Institute of Technology, discussed and exchanged opinions on 14 advanced manufacturing projects from Russia.

Speeches were delivered by Wang Zicai, an academician from Harbin Institute of Technology, Liu Enguo, chairman of Shenzhen Fundwin Incubator Management Co, and Zhang Hongwei, deputy director of the Intelligent Manufacturing Research Institute of Heilongjiang Academy of Sciences.
 
Russia Guest of Honor Week at the 18th China International Talent Exchange Conference is sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, and organized by China International Talent Exchange Center, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Committee and Harbin’s science and technology bureau.
 
Over a week-long period, government officials, experts, scholars and business representatives from the two countries will discuss equipment manufacturing, new materials and biomedicine.
