The China-Russia New Materials Industry Integration Development Forum, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Heilongjiang Provincial Government, was held in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on Aug 29.
As one of the key international forums during the 6th China International Advanced Materials Industry Exposition, it attracted the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, local governments and departments, Russian institutions in China, academicians and experts in the field of China-Russia basic materials, strategic materials, and cutting-edge new materials.
They discussed ways of leveraging their respective advantages in new materials, expanding the potential and space for bilateral industrial cooperation, and boosting scientific and technological innovation cooperation in the field of new materials.
The forum also witnessed the unveiling ceremony for the China-Russia Industrial Innovation Cooperation Center, the launch ceremony for the Russian and Central Asian Academicians' Visit to China event, as well as other themed speeches and roundtable discussions.
