Nangang district in Harbin, the capital city of Heilongjiang province held an activity to promote road safety for teachers, students and parents on April 20.

Nangang Primary School responded positively to the initiative, teaching students the safest ways to cross the road in the correct manner.

The school also created a display themed around transport safety with a large quantity of publicity material promoting knowledge of road safety to teachers, students and parents.

During the past 28 years, Nangang Primary School has been working with Nangang traffic police brigade. A “junior police academy” was created to carry out various activities, such as students helping direct traffic, as well as holding class meetings to promote road safety.

Nangang Primary School will continue to promote road safety skills, supporting Harbin in its efforts to become a national civilized city.
