A leading enterprise in China's general aviation industry–China Feilong General Aviation Company – launched its training base and flight club in Tianjin Binhai New Area on Dec 8, realizing the dreams of flight enthusiasts in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area.

"With the continuously reforming low-altitude airspace management system, learning to pilot a plane is no longer only a remote dream for Chinese people," said Qu Haibo, the general manager of China Feilong General Aviation Company.

"The establishment of the base and the flight club is founded on the reformed management of low-altitude airspace,"added Qu.

The base aims to drive the development of the general aviation industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area and provide professional services for pilot training.

Located in the Tianjin Airport Economic Area, the base is facilitated with a hangar and training devices that meet the requirements of parking, maintenance, and training. The flight club offers trusteeship, training, and a multifaceted flight experience for private aircraft pilots and aviation enthusiasts.

Qu said, "As a general aviation enterprise with the most complete operational qualifications and the largest fleet size, Feilong offers professional flight training and a full service relying on the base and the flight club."

Headquartered in Harbin in Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, Feilong has had experience of the general aviation market for more than 30 years and has acquired a good reputation because of its outstanding performance in disaster relief for the Wenchuan Earthquake of 2008.

The State Council and the Central Military Commission launched a reform of China's low-altitude airspace on Aug 19, 2010, which is beneficial to the development of general aviation and aviation manufacturing, as well as the establishment of the comprehensive transportation system.

Feilong's training bases in Harbin city, Northeast China's Great Khingan Mountainous area, and Tianjin provide trainings for pilots of fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. The company has completed training for 400 entry-level pilots, pilots for police aircraft and pilots who transferred from military flights to civilian flights.
