This year’s China-Russia Expo, in the city of Harbin also included an affiliated 6-day exhibition of goods from China and abroad at the China South City that had its opening ceremony on Oct 11, coinciding with an economic and trade cooperation conference for talks between Russian and Chinese businesspeople.

Other highlights are a special pavilion for countries along China’s “One Belt and One Road” program, such as Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the ASEAN countries of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

The China South City venue covers 80,000 square meters and has at least 600 booths, and brings in hundreds of traders from South Korea, Russia, Ghana, and other countries as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan with fur product, cosmetics, arts, crafts, and food.

On hand for the opening ceremony were Chen Haibo, Party chief of Harbin, Sun Yao, Vice-Governor of Heilongjiang province, as well as Qu Lei, vice-mayor of the city.
