NE China enterprises see big profits to Q4

The city of Harbin’s industrial firms, in Heilongjiang province have reported a 16.4 percent year-on-year increase in their tax payments and 18.9 percent increase in profits in the first three quarters of 2015, Heilongjiang Daily has reported citing the city’s industry and information commission, on Nov 3.

In the Jan-Sept period, its industrial sector saw really rapid growth, with added value output reaching 62.39 billion yuan ($9.86 billion), for a year-on-year increase of 2 percent, and added value output of the non-public sector at 206.45 billion yuan, for an increase of 8.1 percent over the same last year period, which helped pull economic growth up by 4.6 percentage points.

Investment also saw growth, at 49.74 billion yuan, for a year-on-year increase of 34.1 percent, and accounting for 67 percent of the city’s total investment in industry, which is seen as an important growth factor.

And, the commission notes that, in spite of the downward forces in Chinese economic development, the government has come up with ways to help local enterprises, for example, with preferential policies and investor incentives, as well as networking and cross-industry activities for different enterprises.

China's economy expanded 6.9 percent in the third quarter, the first time the quarterly growth rate has dropped below 7 percent since the second quarter of 2009, at the height of the global recession.
