Harbin’s financial innovation industry park was founded in the Daoli District of the city on Aug 15.

Established by the city government and the Daoli district government, the park will inject fresh life into Harbin’s tertiary industry and help boost the financial industry to aid the development of the real economy.

Song Xibin, mayor of Harbin, attended the launch ceremony and made a tour of some of the firms in the park.

Two districts and one center will be built in the park, namely the inclusive financial district, the headquarters district and the Internet financial center.

The park will serve the needs of the local economy and improve regional financial services. It will also build a platform for the collection of financial information and publishing.

The park will serve as a model for financial reforms in Heilongjiang province, promote real economic development and provide a strong financial base for the comprehensive revitalization of the development of the old northeast industrial base.

The park will attract new types of financial enterprises, such as fund management firms, firms involved in equity crowdfunding and business incubators. So far, more than 30 big financial firms have come to the park, including a subsidiary company of the the biggest retail financial company in the world, Ping’an Insurance Company of China Ltd.

The park will also provide financial services for small and medium-sized enterprises to help them obtain financing. Meanwhile, Harbin residents will gain benefits from the park, as they can borrow money to buy property and travel. Furthermore, businesses in the park can provide credit to individuals, arranging an unsecured loan in as little as 24 hours.

The park will make great efforts to promote itself as a place for financial firms to be based, and will try to attract the most successful businesses to the area.
