The governments of Harbin in Heilongjiang and Shenzhen in Guangdong signed an agreement on May 9 to establish the Harbin-Shenzhen Industrial Park in Harbin New New Zone.

The industrial park will cover an area of 26 square kilometers, focusing on the development of emerging industries, such as intelligent manufacturing, technological innovation and services, and information technology.

Construction of the industrial park will start from a 1.53-sq km core area that will include a technology innovation headquarters, a commercialization services center for scientific research achievements and living quarters for relocating staff.

To support the development of the industrial park, the government of Harbin will launch preferential policies on land use, capital and administration services.
