China, Russia move to boost technology cooperation

Responding to the increasing demands of technology cooperation and transfer between China and Russia, a conference was held in Harbin, Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on June 17.

Around 300 technology experts gathered at the 5th China-Russia Technology Cooperation and Transfer Roundtable Meeting to discuss topics centering on artificial intelligence, technologies in extreme cold environments, new materials and biomedicines.

Sicha Andre, academician from the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chen Huanwen, vice president of East China University of Technology, and Bagan Vitali, associate dean of Moscow Institute of Technical Physics, gave presentations on their institutes’ capabilities in technology innovation and proposed ideas for strengthening technology exchanges and cooperation between China and Russia.

Other attendees also discussed topics such as the commercialization of scientific research achievements, how to stimulate companies to innovate and the latest achievements in  scientific research.
