The 2nd Northeast Asia Art Expo concluded at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center in Harbin, capital of Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, on July 21.

The five-day event started on July 17 and was attended by 311 enterprises from 28 provinces and autonomous regions, as well as 33 companies from nine countries and regions, including South Korea, Japan, Russia, Pakistan and Indonesia.

The event served as a platform for boosting cultural exchanges and cooperation between Harbin and countries in Northeast Asia.

This year’s expo had a tagline of “opening-up, sharing, cooperation, and mutual benefits” and was attended by enterprises from Bulgaria, France, Pakistan, India and Indonesia for the first time.

Various types of creative products, including paintings, animation games, and crafts were on display at the expo. Crafts from minority groups and abroad were also showcased, inspiring the curiosity and interest of visitors.

The expo also featured the 2nd Harbin-Shenzhen Culture Industry Strategic Cooperation Forum, which had the catchphrase “deepen strategic cooperation, boost coordinated development”.

Eight scholars and experts from universities and cultural institutes were invited to come discuss the new development trajectory and innovation in the culture industry under the current economic and social situation and provide advice on carrying out culture exchanges in Northeast Asia.
