Harbin boiler manufacturer posts strong first quarter

Harbin Boiler Co, a subsidiary of Harbin Electric Corporation -- China’s leading power equipment producer -- announced on March 31 that it had a great performance in the first quarter of 2020, with the signing of new contracts worth 1.01 billion yuan ($140 million).
 
The contracts were mainly to supply industrial boilers, petrochemical containers, waste boilers, biomass boilers and in the field of environmental protection.
 
Harbin Boiler Co has the biggest market share domestically in industrial boilers, signing contracts to supply a total of 12 industrial boilers in the first three months.
 
These included three 570 t/h boilers for Chifeng Qihui Aluminum Development Co, one 150 t/h gas boiler for the Changqing ethane-to-ethylene project and one 100MW subcritical gas boiler contract for Tianjin Iron and Steel Group.
 
Another contract was to supply four sets of 450t/h gas boilers for a new 20-million-ton integrated production plant, that will combine crude oil refining and naphtha cracking to produce chemicals for SINOPEC Guangdong Petrochemical Company.
 
Meanwhile, Harbin Boiler Co maintained its high market share in waste boilers, winning bids to supply China National Environmental Projection Group’s five waste incineration power generation projects in Xingtang, Chaoan, Anping, Xianning and Yantai.
 
It won bids to supply Zhejiang Weiming Environment Protection Co’s three waste incineration heating boilers in Dongming, Fujin and Ningjin.
 
The company also doubled its orders for biomass boilers, with new contracts worth more than four times contracts signed in the same period last year.
 
Additionally, the company achieved breakthroughs in petrochemical market, with the signing of contracts to supply four major petrochemical equipment projects.
