Business projects worth $5.35b inked at Harbin New Zone

The total investment of the projects came in at 37.78 billion yuan ($5.35 billion), they said.
The projects cover a variety of fields such as new materials, equipment manufacturing, next-generation information technology, the headquarters economy, healthcare and cultural and tourism.
Officials said they are in line with Harbin New Zone’s “4+4+3” industrial development plan – with green agricultural product deep processing, advanced equipment manufacturing, as well as a modern biomedicines and tourism industry as its pillar industries.
They are followed by information, new materials, finance and modern logistics as its rapidly developing sectors.
Since the beginning of the year, Harbin New Zone has overcome difficulties caused by the novel coronavirus epidemic situation in terms of investment promotion.
While doing a good job in prevention and control of COVID-19, it has also made every effort to promote investment through online investment promotions.
To date, 52 projects have been signed into Harbin New Zone with an investment worth 103.8 billion yuan. Of these, the investment for three projects have each topped 10 billion yuan.
Officials said the investment targets set by Harbin New Zone at the start of the year have been exceeded.
