China's first integrated transportation joint innovation center – co-established by Heilongjiang Transportation Investment Group and high-tech giant Huawei – started operating on June 29 in the Harbin New Zone in Harbin, capital city of China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province, according to local officials.
They said the center is committed to conducting forward-looking research and R&D on technology in the field of smart transportation – such as intelligent expressways, vehicle-road collaboration and digital logistics – in the extreme cold region.
It aims to incubate and create a full solution for intelligent transportation and promote the development of the intelligent transportation industry.
