Harbin Electric International Co (HEI), China’s leading large-scale enterprise in power project contracting and export of power equipment, was included on the Top 250 International Contractors list. The list was recently announced by the world's most authoritative academic magazine in the engineering construction field, Engineering News-Record (ENR), in the United States.

ENR provides an annual study that ranks contractor companies based on the construction revenue generated outside of each company's home country. The Top 250 International Contractors index ranks companies based on their international revenues. 

The total value of new international contracts signed by the 250 companies on the list in 2019 was $625.8 billion, and the total worldwide business turnover was $473.07 billion.

Chinese companies achieved an international turnover of $120.05 billion in 2019, a year-on-year increase of 0.9 percent, accounting for 25.4 percent of the total global turnover of the 250 listed companies.

Of which, HEI's total turnover in 2019 was $750.4 million, and the contracted value was $2.91 billion.

Officials stated that it was the seventh time for HEI to make the list, ranking 95th among the 250 international engineering contractors. Meanwhile, HIE ranks 22nd among the 74 Chinese companies on the list.
