The Shenzhen-Harbin Industrial Park Comprehensive Exhibition Center opened to the public on Aug 26, and stands testament to the cooperation between Harbin, the capital city of China’s northernmost Heilongjiang province, and the southern tech metropolis of Shenzhen, in Guangdong province, according to Harbin Daily.
Officials said that the center is located in the Harbin New Zone of Harbin city, with a total construction area of 8,800 square meters.
The center’s main building is two intertwined shapes, a design concept that symbolizes the relationship between Harbin and Shenzhen – two cities working hand in hand to create a smarter future. The building's form is like ice cubes, with glass curtain walls and aluminum panels to create a modern and dynamic aesthetic.
The center is for multiple functions, such as corporate and talent services, exhibitions, office space and leisure activities.
In the future, the facility will serve as a platform to display the partnership between the two cities and as a modern service center with benchmark significance in Heilongjiang province.
The exhibition display area consists of two floors, which provide a comprehensive, intelligent and forward-looking display of the Shenzhen-Harbin Industrial Park from four angles: macro strategy, two-city cooperation, park planning and blueprint conception.
