The Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair, a prominent platform for promoting economic and trade communication and cooperation throughout Northeast Asia, commenced on June 15 in Harbin, the capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province. The fair is being held both online and offline.

This year's fair, with the theme of "technology empowers a new era and joins hands to build a new pattern," combines exhibitions, forums, negotiations and other business activities. 

The exhibitions include eight professional sections for technological innovation, trade in services, regional cooperation, comprehensive revitalization, brand promotion, imported goods, mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as large machinery.

These exhibitions see the participation of a total of 1,739 enterprises from 28 countries and regions, displaying 5,522 kinds of products across 59 categories.

Meanwhile, the online displays include 29 VR exhibition halls for the guest of honor, Azerbaijan, and the guest city of Xiamen, as well as for Russia, Japan, South Korea and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

Among the exhibits are those highlighting industrial projects and development achievements related to the China Heilongjiang Pilot Free Trade Zone, fashion and culture from Heilongjiang province, gathering brands and featured products from Heilongjiang's 13 cities.

Additionally, this year, service support for financing, legal consulting, intellectual property, market supervision, business environment supervision, network security supervision, certification and free-trade agreements are set up online for the first time to meet the diverse needs of participating merchants.
