Heilongjiang Publishing and Media Co, a company based in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, was recently listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The Harbin-based media company was established in July 2014 and is a large-scale cultural enterprise integrating traditional businesses such as publishing, printing and copying, distribution, and retail.

It has also adopted emerging business formats such as digital publishing and media. 

It currently has 104 subsidiaries, including three sub-groups, and seven publishing houses and investment companies. 

It is the 29th company in Harbin to go public.

Harbin's listed companies have a total of 39.93 billion shares, and their total market value has increased to 269.42 billion yuan ($40.43 billion). 

Harbin has issued 29 domestic A shares and one domestic B share, and has four overseas listed companies and 39 companies listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotation.
