The Heilongjiang headquarters base of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) started construction in the Harbin New Zone in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on Oct 25.

That same day, 10 enterprises signed deals to settle in the Heilongjiang headquarters base. Among them are CRCC Heilongjiang Investment Construction Co and No 1 Engineering Corporation Limited of CR20G.

The Heilongjiang headquarters base is located in the Harbin New Zone Convention and Exhibition Center business circle. It will receive 5 billion yuan ($750.19 million) in investment from CRCC, one of the most powerful and largest general construction groups in the world. 

It is expected to cover an area of 187,900 square meters and have a building area of 484,300 sq m.
  Construction items will include the CRCC Heilongjiang Headquarters Building, the New Technology and Equipment R&D Center, the Railway Soldier Memorial Hall, and other project entities, forming a full industrial chain covering investment, financing, survey, design, scientific research, construction, and operation.

The Heilongjiang headquarters base will serve as the CRCC's provincial management agency in Heilongjiang, and assume the main tasks of the company's operation, management, and investment in the province.

It is estimated that by 2025, CRCC will have an output value of more than 100 billion yuan in Heilongjiang.

Meanwhile, it is expected to introduce more than 50 companies and over 5,000 high-end talent to Harbin New Zone, providing more than 20,000 jobs and paying over 1 billion yuan in taxes.
