747 key industrial projects established in Harbin

From 2017 to 2021, the city promoted 747 key industrial projects and completed an investment of 155.97 billion yuan ($23.40 billion).
Among the projects were 326 strategic emerging industry projects and traditional industry transformation and upgrading projects with an investment of 30.75 billion yuan, as well as 139 emerging industry projects worth 13.73 billion yuan focusing on new materials and biomedicine.
Over a five-year period, the city has implemented 692 key industrial projects, each with an investment of more than 100 million yuan, and completed an investment of 154 billion yuan in total.
Due to the city's industrial development efforts, industrial clusters in line with the regional industrial layout have taken shape in Harbin's districts and counties.
The city's Pingfang district is strong in high-end equipment manufacturing, Songbei district excels in advanced technology and biomedicine, while Daoli district is home to a booming financial industry.
Meanwhile, trade and logistics have seen strong development in Daoli district, dairy product manufacturing in Shuangcheng, rice processing in the county-level city of Wuchang and meat processing in Bayan county.
