The Harbin event of the 2022 World Artificial Intelligence Conference successfully concluded in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Sept 2.
 
Due to the impact of COVID-19, this year's Harbin event was held online and attended by more than 10,000 people.
 
The event included one main forum and four sub-forums on industrial internet, smart agriculture, cold area life and technological innovation.
 
A total of 56 notable guests in domestic and foreign politics, industry, academia and research were invited to attend or give speeches.
 
Tan Lewei, deputy mayor of Harbin, delivered a speech and introduced the construction of the national new-generation artificial intelligence innovation and development pilot zone in Harbin.
 
Song Boyan, director of the Harbin science and technology bureau, interpreted the Several Policies for Harbin's Construction of the National New-generation Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Pilot Zone; and Zhen Changyu, deputy director of the Harbin area of the China Heilongjiang Free Trade, made a keynote presentation.
   
Additionally, agreements for a total of 11 projects were signed during this year's Harbin event.
 
It has been reported that the Harbin event has played an essential role in promoting the collision and integration of AI thinking and creating a new model for artificial intelligence development.
 
It also promoted exchanges between Heilongjiang and the world in high-end cutting-edge technology and drove the exchange of achievements and technical services in the field of digital economy.
