The Harbin New Zone in Harbin, capital city of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, signed cooperation deals worth 5.25 billion yuan ($787.70 million) at the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), which was held in the city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province on Sept 8-11.
 
During the fair, the Harbin New Zone delegation paid visits to 18 enterprises, financial institutes and industry associations to seek business opportunities and promote the zone as an ideal investment destination.
 
Among the signed deals, Xiamen Wante Import and Export Co agreed to set up a cross-border trade base in Harbin New Zone.
   
Meanwhile, Zhangzhou Taiwang Food Co, Heizhenzhu Food Co, Donghai Frozen Food Co and Zunniuwang Fujian Wine Co signed framework agreements with Harbin New Zone to conduct extensive cooperation.
 
Additionally, Harbin New Zone set up an exhibition zone at the fair to display its economic development, investment environment, preferential business policies and key industrial parks.
