Harbin seeks further cooperation with Russian cities

A series of commerce and trade negotiations between Harbin -- capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province -- and cities in Russia was held both on-site and online on Sept 15.
The talks in Harbin were seen as an initiative by the two sides to expand their exchanges and deepen cooperation.
During the activities, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Harbin Committee and the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed agreements to extend their ties.
A total of 12 enterprises from China and Russia, as well as from the Harbin New Zone and the Harbin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, conducted business promotions.

In recent years, Harbin has deeply implemented the consensus reached by the heads of China and Russia, made full use of the advantages of being a city central to China's cooperation with Russia and actively promoted close exchanges and pragmatic cooperation with that country.
Fruitful achievements have been made in such fields as commerce and trade, education and the medical sectors.
