A health research institute invested by major Heilongjiang pharmaceutical enterprise Harbin Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd (HPGC) was officially established in Harbin, capital of China's northernmost Heilongjiang province, on Nov 1.
 
The HPGC Health Research Institute will adhere to the national major pharmaceutical strategic needs and carry out forward-looking health-related research in order to contribute to the construction of a "Healthy China".
 
The soon-to-be-developed products will include over-the-counter medicines and healthy foods.
 
HPGC has played an active role in ensuring the quality of drugs and the safety of public medication in Heilongjiang for many years.
 
Especially during the epidemic, it has undertaken the expedited production and supply of anti-epidemic drugs and protective equipment in Heilongjiang.
 
In recent years, HPGC has been continuously exploring new technologies and new processes, which has provided strong impetus and support for the development of the pharmaceutical industry in Heilongjiang.
